I would get the OCZ Agility, it is based on the Indilinx controller which is the fastest non intel controller... It does however use slower Samsung flash then the OCZ Vertex, but it also doesnt carry the price premium
Here is a comparison for you to decide for yourself: http://www.anandtech.com/stora...owdoc.aspx?i=3631&p=12
*edit*
Also i would stop looking at the sequential read/write speeds completely... They dont mean anything anymore... Everyone on the forum can agree than the intel G2 is the fastest MLC SSD and it only has 70 sequential write... I.E. the corsair drive is complete shit but you cant tell that from the read/write... its because its based on the samsung controller which as u can see here is bad: http://www.anandtech.com/stora...owdoc.aspx?i=3631&p=19
OCZ Summit = Samsung controller = Corsair drive u have listed
*edit again lol*
Another point is on that chart... look again at the Intel G2 i told u about, it is only rated at 70mb/s write vs the 120mb/s write on the samsung based corsair u have linked, but its about 25 times faster with writing small files.

I got mine here, for $248 last week: http://www.shopblt.com/index.shtml.
You have to look on google a little, and find someplace with them in stock for a resaonable price. Don't pay the $340 that places like Newegg and Mwave are charging.

On the BLT site, it says ETA is 9-23-2009 for the Southern CA warehouse.Originally posted by: Greg04
OOS now, they are currently $254, which is fine, but in your opinion, are they worth giving up 40GB to the 120GB OCZ Agility for the same price ($249 AR)?Originally posted by: Jumpem

going from 200$ to 240$ is hardly a splurge.

...he may be referring to cost per GB ratio. I can get a decent performing Agility 120GB in stock now for $249AR (the one in my update in the orginal post).
Dropping that amount for 50% fewer GBs in the 80GB intel G2 is a splurge.

I have an OCZ Vertex now, I really can't imagine my computer feeling any faster than it is now. Go for the Agility, 80gb is too small now (especially with a 64-bit OS).

I couldn't imagine how fast the intel really is before I got it either. Forget imagining, buy something that will shatter your imagined notions.
Anyways, who cares about the cost per GB. This isn't bulk storage, this is SPEED upgrade.
The only thing about GB that comes into equation is "is it enough for the next 2 years".
