324 HP Jetta?

LOL @ valhalla...so true so true. 🙂 I will take Luxury over power I will never use anyday..*admires his Loncoln LS brochure*

Nate

btw are you just making these #'s up?

you sure a VR6 can handle a 100hp SC? I don't know the compression ratio of it but adding too much you're just going to blow that POS engine to pieces reeeeeal quick.. not to mention void the warranty and still have an ugly un-sporty looking car

Valhalla1,

They can take it with no problem. I have seen both turbo and supercharged VR6s. My friends 81 Rabbit pick up was running 11 lbs of boost with no mods to the block itself. VW loves to over build their engines.

The vr6 is far from a pos.
Search for "gti" and thoes nice GTI 12 second quarter mile videos come up.

Cool. Maybe I can hold out for awhile...I'm going to be buying a new car in a little while (was planning for May), and the Jetta was up there on my list. The HP increase and lower pricing (mentioned on the vortex page) makes it even more enticing. Thanks for the info! 🙂

If you were a true car enthusiast, you would realize that the the VR6 is a spectacular engine. It sounds wonderful, it's refined and it has a strong torque band. Can't say all three about ANY 6 Cylinder engine that AMERICA has ever produced. Next you'll be saying that the 944 is a crappy car. Wait...I think you already have.:disgust:

BTW, VR6 Corrados equipped with a T04 supercharger can make in excess of 500HP+. SO yes, the engine can take it.

And for ugly...take a look at the Pontiac Trans AM WS6. w00t! The dictionary can finally have a picture for the world ugly. HAHA!

You just piss me off so bad because you just can't give credit where it's due. I always want to go against you.

Isn't it nice to know that a 1993 Corrado VR6 will lay waste to your Firebird V6? What's worse is that a 1992 G60 will do the same thing. Hrmph...don't even get me started comparing a Golf G60 to your Firebird. To almost ANY car.

Go suck on that.:disgust:

BTW Elemental...what supercharger is this? I don't think the Z-Engineering Charger can handle putting out 100HP reliably.Actually, I'm almost positive. And for the chip producing 20HP alone? Eh...that's like a ricer estimate🙁 The charger that most VR6 owners are waiting for are the Neuspeed(rip-off) SC and the Lysholm SC produced by BahnBrenner. They don't even claim 100HP🙁

whatever dude.. its a double sided arguemnt.. no one here will recognize the american V8, the LS1 in particular, as a beast.. 330+ hp easy, and easily tuneable to 500+.. sounds better than any V6 on earth and neck-breaking torque to spare.

and what the f*ck do you drive? someone always has to bring my car into this, when they often aren't even old enough to drive or have some POS daddy bought them.. my car is weighted down with several hundred pounds of competition car audio gear... I don't waste my gas racing people in my car, so why do you even compare things to my car? It's stupid to buy a V6 fbody to race, so get that out of your skull.

why should I recognize anything, when no one else recognizes my point of view?

eat me.

Valhalla1,

You certainly have the right to your opinion, but cmon how any anybody say that the VR6 is POS? It's been one of the finest 6 cylinder engines since it's introduction.

Liking American muscle is all good, but maybe if you didn't make blanket statements about every foreign car you wouldn't get antagonized all the time in car threads by the foreign car guys. 🙂

Anyways,

I'd rather have the 1.8T to work with. Never liked superchargers that much. Turbocharging is where it's at. 🙂

I am one of the FEW who would take a Z06 over a BMW M3. I LOVE the LT1 and the LS1. To me, no V8s sound as glorious. Even snobby Europeans acknowledge this. It's the American motor trademark. Stop assuming sh*t. I know of little shops called lingenfelter, and a little supercharger called the Vortech

The difference between my crappy car, and your crappy car, is that I don't pimp my car on a website. And it was your choice you bought the car. Who says I was given a car anyways? Again...more assumptions. Dumbass.

why should I recognize anything, when no one else recognizes my point of view?
Like I said...I WHOLEHEARTEDLY LOVE the LT1 and LS1, not to mention the Northstar V-8. It's just when you can't acknowledge the fact that some other countries can make cars just as fast as the U.S. What others fail to acknowledge, is that LS1s are fast STRAIGHT OUT OF THE BOX FOR CHEAPER THAN THEIR EURO COUNTERPARTS. If I want to go fast for cheap, the last thing on my mind is the "texture of plastic".

eat me.

Back off...you always dig yourself into a hole you can't get out of. I, unlike you, don't show any preferential treatment to certain cars, cept maybe the Corrado😉 Even then...I know that a Ferrari 360 Modena will rock my world.

american muscle can still kick any german cars a$$ plain and simple...punks! I dust lil integra's in my sunfire left and right.....

Nate

just wait til the w12 arrives...

nateholtrop - that's not something that i'd brag about... unless they're ITRs, which i doubt.

<< american muscle can still kick any german cars a$$ plain and simple...punks! >>

hahahahahahahaha That's funny.

<< I dust lil integra's in my sunfire left and right..... >>

The integra is not German.

that last comment nate is pute bullshit, those sunfires are sh!t, honda 4 cylinders could kick the sh!t out of that pontiac/chevy/ford crap

biennerienno

<< yawn

Vette would own it

and a Z28 Camaro would own it for cheaper
>>

Heck, take the Audi R8 Lemans winner, and in Valhalla's eye a Vette would STILL own it.

Hey Val

Do you have a problem with ALL imports? I mean what did you expect when you bought a $200 Celica? I have full respect for american V8's and their sheer amount of power they can produce. On the other hand, some imports such as the Nissan Skyline and the Toyota Supra can reach HP ranges well into the 1000's. To me....Imports are better all around cars (power, handling, and price) and American Sportscars are sheer power. All in my opinion of course. I respect your opinion so Im expecting some sort of respect for mine.

what are u lookin at tuffguy, first off you are comparing a GT sunfire to a LS Integra, and the Integra still beats the Sunfire. Why don't you compare it to a GSR and see how far it gets you. Arent the stock engines in Sunfires almost the same thing as the engine in the piece of sh!t caveliers. come on gimme a break
