Pfft. Just 2gb/hour for your TV-viewing pleasure? ;P 4.5gb/hour for me, but that's because I get all my favorite shows at 1920x1080 :3 Now THOSE suckers add up. Glad to see people pointing out the obvious though: Porn and newsgroups. God, I've got a friend who has like a terabyte of storage, and he keeps filling it with porn. THAT I don't understand... I try to constrain my porn storage to no more than I can actually look at in my LIFETIME. ;P

Anyway, back on topic... This would be a nice drive for me to pick up, 'cept I don't have that much $$$ this second. Oh well, I'll just get that $70 200gb IDE from Outpost like I was going to. (I just did the math, and it seems to be $0.09 cheaper per gb anyway, unless I did the math wrong...which is entirely possible.)

Thanks OP. Just got the drive. Monarch is a great company. Bought some cheap DDR2 RAM from them a while ago and everything was on the level.

if the deal is still here in the morning im getting it....hopefully it won't so I don't spend more money.

Man, I remember my first retail hard drive purchase, an 850MB Conner DiskStor drive I bought at Best Buy on a "good deal" recommendation from a friend for $300. Man it makse me happy that the computer industry didn't follow the auto industry when it comes to pricing! 😀

anybody thinking about this deal?
pretty hawt 🙂 also 3 year warrenty 🙂

I got this drive for 135 a while back when monarch had this. Its an awesome drive, very cool and quiet. I can not hear any seek noise or anything. its good to know that I will never use up all 320gb, so thats a peace of mind. Overall, I totoally reccomend it.

Just bought one. Hopefully the rebate is still valid after using the coupon, or else I screwed myself out of 9$, haha. But if it stacks then it's 110$! (151$ - 16$ (coupon) - 25$ (rebate)) Either way, sweet deal.

Same here, only I'll go a step further. I was the cool kid on the block when I bought my hard first drive - a full height 40 MB MFM drive, loud as hell. I think it was a Seagate and although it's been eons, I think I remember I paid something like $500 for it.

Looked like a good deal. If the rebate doesn't come through, no biggie. Thanks OP. I've been needing a new drive for a few weeks now.
