2 160GB maxtors?

That is what I am running in RAID-0. But I haven't seen any standalone 320GBers yet.

Why have 320 gb (160x2) when you can have 400Gb (200x2)..

i am quite sure the 200gb ones are out from WD.

sorry about that.

maxtor is coming out with a 320GB drive. The 320GB is only running at 5400rpm

and the 2xxGB are running at 7200rpm

I have two 80GB HD's running at RAID 0.

150GBs goes by fast when you're encoding video :p

too bad I wont be buying it since maxtor doesnt have the confidence to carry a 3 year warranty anymore.

edit: and yes, i realize this is an enterprise drive but the point remains

The reduced 1-year warranty policy takes effect om Oct. I'm not sure if that change also applies to this model.

GEE... and I complain about the time it takes to format an 80-gigger.

Well, now I'm totally confused.
Does the 320GB drive come with a 3 year warranty or not?

From what I have read the NEW drives, with the 80gig per platter, will only have a one year warrenty.

I ma afraid that other Hard Drive companies will do the same. I hope they will at least offer a 2 year warrenty and Force Maxtor to do the same. But I will not buy a drive with a one year warrenty, you hear me Maxtor?

Next Drive, WD.
