3200 on Air @ 2.6 with 1.4v

I have my 3200 Winchester on Air with stock cooler at 260x10 with ram 1:1

It would never go as high as 262 without errors, but at 260 it is stable as a rock. I lowered the Vcore and it stayed stable, so for the heck of it, i lowered the vcore all the way down to 1.4. My board undervolts, so thats actually 1.36-1.38 or so. Still rock solid, and temps are idling in the high 20's now. This is on stock heatsink with ceramique.

I know its normal to brag about high overclocks, but in this case, i cant help but take pride in the low voltage....lol.

What week is that chip???

NIce OC!!! I can only get 2.5ghz at stock vcore

NOw ofcourse if you drop the divider to 166 since most of the memory bandwidth means shite (like Zebo showed us) and see if you can get to 2.8ghz!!!

Edit: I see stock cooler...Mine did 2.6ghz but I think it will take a an aftermarket to get to 2.8ghz if you want that challenge....

My 3200winchester has been running at 2.4ghz for 2 days for stability testing...planing to go at 2.6 tomorrow...Those winchester are really nice OC..stock hsf... Now you said you lowered the vcore. what temp do you get with prime95 stress test?

Nice work. I wouldn't hesitate to add a little juice as long as your temps stay good. I too have the stock cooler on my 3000+ @ 2.7 but I'm still using 1.475. I got the clockspeed with 1.55 and have been steadily dialing it down. My chip actually has more in it, but my mobo (AV8) craps out @ 300. Anybody interested in how to get a good OC out of this board need only look to the agp-either use 8:2:1 or the 74 MHz lock-they allow you to go higher on the FSB. Changing PCI latency to 64 seems to help too, but I don't know about that one.

I need a new chip and board... Mines week 37 does 2.5 stock, 2.6 @1.53, 2.65@1.60, then it gets depressing 2.7 requires 1.7 after which I get scared of more Vcore.

the numbers on the CPU itself. For instance, mine says 0441, which means its a week 41. if it said 0437, it would be a week 37. Thats all there is to it. 🙂
