32 inch widescreen TV decent for a small living room apt? POLL UP!

Since all we have is a cheap 19" 4:3, a 32" widescreen sounds pretty good to me.

There's a 'factory renewed' 30" HDTV monitor on www.outlet.philips.com for $359 (says retail is $1099..but who knows). Free s/h, though 🙂

Decent enough? What happened to the days of being happy with a 20"? I mean, I'd love to have one, but you make it sound like 32" is the bare minimum needed to even bother watching TV.

32" is a joke. My 52" Sony non-widescreen/non-HDTV is getting to be too small. I visit BestBuy and start drooling over the thought of a shiney new 64" widescreen DLP. mmmm

there is no such thing as "big enough"... I have a 106 inch and true HDTV and its not big enough IMO.

Buy a projector..or better yet, learn to be happy with what you've got. 🙂

Well just remember that the bigger you go, the farther back you'll have to sit to avoid seeing the "screen door effect".

Depends on small your penis is. Smaller it is the bigger Tv you go with.

Supercharged 4.7L V8, 806 HP, 678 LB-FT torque, 0-60 3.2 seconds, 1/4 mile 9.0 seconds

This coming from a guy who quotes a car like that in his sig.

LOL

I have a feeling he has a projector already.

When the OP says 32" Widescreen, I think direct-view CRT. Myself, I have a 27" CRT 4:3 tv, and I want a 52" HDTV rear projection in my 11"x12" bedroom.

Are you talking to me about the OP having a CRT? I thought so too, but I thought CadetLee was telling arod to get a projector, and I assuming at a 106" image, it's already a projector 😛

On sort of a related note, I went to target today to get some notebooks with my gf and they had some 50" sets in the store and even though I'm only used to 76", they looked very small. Guess I spoiled myself.
