All I need is a video card with 2 monitor outs. There's this great one, even fanless which is a plus, for $30, but it is 32bit

Does the bits only matter for gaming or do you see that being a problem for showing colors, etc. correctly on photoshop or video editors like premiere or vegas? Photo shop is the real concern.

You probably mean 32MB, because 32 bits is certainly not enough :p

What exactly (make, model) is this "great" 32MB card you are looking at? I bet you can do better for 30 bucks.

That 32-bit I believe refers to the memory interface on the chip....32-bit won't win any awards for speed...but should work fine for Photoshop...

are you just taking about speed in games and 3D graphics or in applications and general performance with 2D graphics, interfaces, and displays? Does audio recording software, video and graphics programs access the video memory at all. Or does that mainly just need fast Ram in the motherboard which this comp will have 2 gigs of?

Audio software doesn't access the video memory, but graphics and video programs will.

The 7200GS with 32-bit memory interface and 128 MB onboard video memory you have spotted would do the job, but the other one daveybrat has linked to GIGABYTE 7200GS 256MB 64-bit seems much better for only $5 more. Not only has it 64-bit interface, but it also has 256 MB onboard. These features will help in processing bigger files. The passive heatsink is also more refined.
