32 bit-64 bit compatability

We're runing 3ds max in the office here and are thinking of upgrading to 64 bit xp to run 64 bit Max. However the rest of the office will be staying 32 bit, is it possible with 64bit XP to still access our office e-mail and internet etc?

i was under the impression that we could run our original 32 bit suite of software on 64bit xp and just upgrade max to 64 bit alone.

Internet connectivity won't be affected at all, the architecture of remote machines is irrelevant. If that weren't true you wouldn't be able to get to any websites hosted on Solaris, Tru64, HPUX, 64-bit Linux, etc boxes.

There are special cases like SMB printing because Windows print servers hand out drivers with their printer shares and 32-bit drivers won't work on 64-bit Windows but there are work arounds for those.
