$90 for my wife and I but my sister's share $222, we all have T-Mobile.

The good news? I'll use my Alaska Airlines/BOFA cc to pay for the bill online and earn 312 frequent flier miles :p

Damn roaming charges I told her to watch out for that, why do people never listen?

Oh well she pays for it but damn $222???

I supposedly don't get charged for roaming when using my AT&T GSM phone. If she needs to roam that much, she should look into another plan or something.

Even with the roam warning feature on a phone, you can roam into an area WHILE on a call and not be alerted. Happened to my brother a few times, but thankfully they were only 1 minute each.

At least you've saved a lot of money over the years eh?

I think I know what it was.

Roaming + Long Distance = Big $

She was in TN for a week for work related training, 99% of the time she's in the home calling area.

Yea, I had a $200 cell bill last month from roaming charges. I was in DC on business and calling my GF back home, didn't realize I was being charged .69 cents a minute roaming. My new GSM plan includes roaming so I won't go through that again.

Probably can expense the phone charges. At least some of it.

That's a good idea but I doubt she'll do it, just to busy. I'll mention it to her though.

Does AT&T still offer their $99 unlimited plan?

They're not, they each have separate phone bills and phone numbers ... T-Mobile groups all 3 together in a "master" bill and sends it to me.

Now that my sister has credit (didn't before) she can get it in her own name and pay it herself but I won't earn miles from it :(

I've never had a roaming charge with SprintPCS and i've used my phone on road trips from Minnesota to Arizona three times, I use it when i go home to MN for xmas, used it in florida, etc.

Sprint is awesome for that. Too bad if you want to buy a new phone, they treat their current customers like sh|t

I thought about switching to Sprint PCS but the deal I want requires a 2 YEAR CONTRACT.

No thanks.

exactly. i wanted to buy a new phone. well my roommate has T-Mobile and bought a new phone...really nice motorola (i don't know model number or anything). He got the same rebate, that a new customer would get.

i went to the PCS store, and because i only have the 29.99 plan, the will only rebate me $25 on a $300 phone with a two year service contract. FSCK THAT. If i had the $50 plan then would rebate me more money? Yep.

I've been a Sprint customer for over 5 years, and this is the thanks i get? They can go to hell.

That sucks... I cancelled my verizon wireless phone and they sent me the last bill....a bill for almost 700 dollars... Why you ask? The bill stated that ALL the minutes I had used were roaming.... uhhh I live in DFW and ALL of DFW <Dallas/Fort Worth for the people that dont know> is covered under verizon :\ I then had to call them they got the roaming charges dismissed I thought that was the end of it.

Come a month later I recieve a phone bill for almost two hundred dollars WF?!?! Call them up lady says I had to pay the taxes on the minutes for the month before even though I was told it was taken care of. I asked her why? She says becuz it aint our responsibility. I politely LAUGHED. and said my responsibility to pay 200 in taxes due to your company screw up? Her response? : *click* that fool hung up on me :| I had to call back and complain to a supervisor that had to get it taken care of and here it is 6 months later and I still recieve monthly statements saying I owe late fees :|

At least Sprint PCS is easy to qualify for credit wise, 5 years ago I didn't have as strong credit ... I walked into a Sprint PCS store and said what the hell I'll try, they approved me for FIVE PHONES.

The current family time deal for $65/mo has a low monthly fee but only 500 weekday shared minutes but unlimited night/weekend. 80% of my calling is during weekday hours so 500 between my wife and I wouldn't really cut it. Going from 1,200 to 500 minutes would suck.

Plus we'd have to change our phone numbers, get new phones, etc.

That must be nice cuz when I tried to trade my refurbished Nokia 8290 they sent me due to my original mic in the first phone came loose and I could no longer use it and then the refurb was eating battery power in like 20 min. they told me even tho my contract was up and I had been there for over a year, that I would have to pay full price. Only way I could get a discount was to discontinue service and re-sign up would get the phone for 100 bucks + 36 buck activation charge...told T-Mobile to suck it and went across the hall to Cingular.. so far so good waiting on my 50 buck rebate tho :| GIMME!

Got a $600 bill when Cingular went to charging for incoming calls. Only notice I saw was a small line in the previous month's bill saying they would be charging for incoming calls. Needless to say I now have a new provider.

I hate those ba**ards!

I was also told I don't have to pay long distance charges, which is why my best friend who just moved to LA calls me on occassion ;)

As far as the $99 unlimited plan, I signed up shortly before the new year and it was available, I haven't checked recently.

Should be able to find something out there that'll be ready for her roaming (assuming she'll have similar in the future).

Are you and your wife on a shared plan, perchance or two separate?

As far as your sister goes, she could likely get a great plan through Verizon or AT&T (Assuming she'll be roaming a bit more).

at&t has unlimited plans for $99. if your sis talks that much, she should look into it.

at least she's paying you for it. :)

We're all on separate plans, I'd like to get a plan where my wife and I can share minutes but no fewer than 800 minutes total pref around 1,000 with free cell to cell and no contracts.

My sister doesn't usually roam but just in case I might recommend she check out AT&T's unlimited plan.

Wife and I are on the weekdays 600 minutes, UNLIMITED weekends with free nationwide roaming and free nationwide long distance.

However since my sister uses a lot of minutes she's on the 3,000 minute plan which is ONLY local calls with no roaming outside of your "home" area.

Just checked AT&T Wireless's website I guess the $99 unlimited plan was a limited time promo and is now gone :(
