Some friend finally showed me 311, and I really like their style! I have a very eclectic taste-hardcore rap, usual linkin park and such, john mayer, josh groban-and what songs would you reccomend?
I heard, "All Mixed Up," which I really enjoy and Amber which was a very cool/chill song.

"Down" was their first single. They've been around for 7 or 8 years now. But good job getting into them...good band. "Come Original" is another fav of mine.
 
Yeah 1998 was a pretty cool year. Man, I miss the F.N. 90s in general. But there are some things I don't miss, like thinking 28kbps was fast or the biggest thing was a Pentium II.

yup, 311 totally lost it, their last album was utter crap(cept for the last track)

edit: also, amber is the most tweakerist song ever :thumbsdown:
 
i'm trying to get into something else, since all this rap is becoming garbage-only a couple of good artists. Kanye West is one since he releases/produces so much material.

try 13-14 years, youngin. check out "unity", "music", and "grassroots". i considered three eleven played out before you punks started listening to 'em. come original is crap. "applied science", "nix hex", "omaha stylie", "fat chance".... all kick the dog sh!t out of anything post 98 from them
 
I particularly liked the whole Soundsystem album, although they're all good. They're from Omaha and I lived in the area for like 15 years. I've got lots of memories of sitting around with my friends playing Goldeneye on N64 listening to 311 back in middle school. Good stuff.
