I currently have a Shuttle Ak31 MB, AMD 1700+, and Radeon AIW 9700 Pro. I've ordered the P4PE and P4 2.4B with 512 Kingston 2700 RAM. Will my existing 300W switching PS be sufficient? Also, I have a SBLive now and thought about using the onboard Soundmax sound on the p4PE. How is it for gaming and general MP3 play? Thanks.

300 w should be OK provided you don't have a lot of peripherals attached that use power - and a lot of case fans.

I am running the P4PE now with an Antec 350 W P/S - but I have 3 HDDs, floppy, LS-120, CD and USB and Firewire devices. I am using the on board sound connected to a very good stereo sound system, and it is as good as anything I have heard.

No problem on the 300w P/S on the P4PE. Sond is excellent, almost par with a SBLIve.

P4PE board does not have an output for rear speakers unless they are the newer 5.1/6.1 type. This really sucks for me.

However, for online gaming, I use a Microsoft Game Voice headphone/mic outfit. About $40 and worth every penny.
