3000+ OC

I had played around with OCing my A64 3000+ venice way back when, but ended up not wanting to risk exploding my processor so I held off.

I decided to try again now that it wouldn't be nearly as costly to upgrade, but it seems like I'm having trouble getting the FSB very high. I don't recall exactly, but I thought I got up to something like 2.2 or 2.4GHz before I decided to stop playing with it, I never even got it to fail to boot and never touched vcore.

This time around though, the moment I go past 225MHz (with x9 multi), Windows won't start up. Temps don't seem crazy, memory was at lowest speed, and I tried increasing the vcore up to 1.55V, or whatever the max was, and it still wouldn't go above 225MHz.

Am I missing a setting? Doing something wrong?

Did you try setting your HTT multiplyer down to 3 or 4? Also might want to try setting your ram divider down to 333mhz....

Got it to OC up to 2.35GHz, with a 260MHz HTT and 213MHz on memory. However, although my CPU is running nicely my 3D performance has gone to crap. I had run 3Dmark06 before hand, just as a rough comparison, and my score on the GPU tests dropped drastically.
