the cheaper the cost, the quicker the hair gets frizzy or curly
100 bucks will probably get a couple of hours service in the straightening machine (or whatever it's called)
300 will probably get 6 or 8 hours

my sister in law had hers done about month ago, cost her 500 and took 10 hours -- it's still really straight and shiny

What type of hair does your sister in law have? Tight curls, loose girls, just wavy, etc?

NICE

While the whole '$500' thing DOES throw you....it is a valid point that *some* geeks spend that on video cards. (FWIW, my wife has her hair *colored* and that alone will run close to $200 with the haircut and all....yet....somehow....THIS expense makes sense to her and is justified, but me spending $200 on a graphics card is ridiculous and pointless. )

Anyway....the greater concern is the 10 HOURS sitting there for that?! I mean, sure, you could spend $500 on a video card....but it doesn't take 10 HOURS to install it!

no but it'll bloodsuck your life away as you play more and more games in front of your computer screen.

That has to be BS.. My date got her curly hair straightened for a weekend. And it took her about half hour from a friend of mine.

And guess what, she is FVCKING beautiful!

my gf just got her hair dyed/highlighted for $200. Straightening which she did once was around there too.

Looks nice though... but the straightening doesn't last all that long.

no, but her hair was all tangled like a SPIDER WEB

EDIT: NOTE TO SYRINGER...changing your avatar will not make the spider joke go away.

When my gf did hers it lasts for almost a year. All she had to do was wash her hair, blow dry it, and go. The cheap places do it for less than $200, but they usually screw it up, and then the girls have to spend even more money to fix it. My gf when she did it costs her $400, and it was worth every penny, think of the time she'll save.

My GF is an Aveda "master stylist," and her salon charges $1,500 - 1,800 for hair extensions! She also gets something like $800 for the aforementioned Japanese hair straightening.

Or they could get a hair straightener and do it whenever they want... take a bit of time, though, and I don't think it lasts very long. Something like a day or two? I don't know, my gf never straightens her hair.
