AT&T Wireless spokesman Mark Siegel says the company's a little surprised by all this fuss:

Mark Siegel: We're not doing anything differently here than we do for all our other plans, all our other phones.

In other words there is something special about iPhone customers...they seem to be bitchy and whiney and fuss a lot over something that is nothing.

Oh dang-it, there I go again describing Steve Jobs...

it's frickin THREE HUNDRED pages! Multiply that by all their customers with iphones, and it's more than just being bitchy and whiney. There's no reason to have to cut down the amazon to send you a phone bill.

It is exactly because of whiney bitchy customers that AT&T produces such bills. There is an option on your account, which you can easily select, to receive summarized bills.

AT&T would love to send summarize bills by default, but more customers want the detailed bills.

Don't worry, notice how she didn't say anything about the cost of the bill? Her plan covers all the text, internet usage. It just itemizes and lists every instance you accessed the internet from from your iphone. Add all the calls u normally make, text msgs and the pages add up. Still, 300 is pretty insane, mine's about 25 front and back.

Yesterday, I got a text from AT&T telling me that my bill was going to be changed to a summarized style automatically. Got a 34 page one last month :D

This really has nothing to do with the iPhone.. anyone who sends a lot of texts and has detailed billing would get the same bill.
Writers just like throwing iPhone in an article because it makes people read it.

Hmm...interesting that you say that, given that ATT has just switched back to summarized bills because NO ONE wants the 300 page bills. They are now defaulting to summarized bills since so many people called and complained about it.
