Explain? I was just guessing but It's a big 300lb woman, all of that weight should be dispersed across the body. Comparatively, I've had 225lb barbell lying across my chest though I'm 170lbs but all I felt was discomfort.

I'm sure if I had a 225 barbel on my chest my rib cage would cave in. Then again that is concentrated weight in a 1 "line" area. A 300lb woman would be a bit more.. uhh, spread out. But still, that's enough to suffacate someone. How do you think people die when buildings collapse? a 300lb person on you is like having a cement floor just holding you down, it might be spread out evenly but it's still holding you down and crushing you.

Not everyone is training for olympic weight lifting and able to lift 100's of pounds.

300lb person on a 120lb person... I've wrestled with friends that weigh 50+lbs more than me and when they put their weight on me, it can be uncomfortable to breath if they lay on my chest/stomach. I can't image a fatass bitch weighing 180lbs more than me deliberately squeezing the breath out of me. With that weight difference, it's not hard at all to suffocate someone to death. Seriously, it's not.

Like I've said, I've had 225lb barbell lying across my chest for a couple of mins once because I was unable to finish my final rep of benchpress at the gym.

It's not the same thing. Imagine laying flat on the ground and being covered by sandbags, and those sandbags increase in weight every time you struggle or try to move.

That's why I asked what happened... unless he was unconscious, he could keep some of that weight off him if he was suffocating by pushing off, etc. I assume people die from a building collapse due to falling debris crushing them. I don't come from physics background so I don't know if this applies but don't pilots experience more g-force than that of equivalent weight flying?

Maybe you're right, I dont' know why but I thought the human body was more resilient than that...

That's across your chest. The bar was simply laying on your rib cage, hardly affects breathing. To breath, your stomach has to be able to expand. Look down and breath and see what moves, not your chest but your stomach area. Put a wider object that weights 225lbs on the middle part of your stomach and see how hard it is to breath after a few minutes. Have someone that weighs that much lay across your stomach and see. Extra 75lbs will make a huge difference, also.

So it was thought to be truly an accident, at least that is what the judge thought. I can't rationalize that any sane person sitting on someone would think that it would kill them. The intent was surely not their, but is sitting on some one any less reckless than driving drunk or waving a gun? I would like to think so.

Amazing that she thought it was a good idea to sit on someone :| and for him to allow it? The guy must have had a death wish
