There is a weird stall, lag, hang, about 30 seconds after windows 10 boots where nothing responds for about 10 seconds. Ctrl + Alt + Del = nothing. No mouse. Absolutely nothing responds.

Any idea what it could be and how to fix it, aside from a reinstall?

I've ran sfc /scannow and no errors come up. The system is stable afaik. :hmm: :\

Sounds like a driver or service is hanging.

Is there anything in the Windows system or application logs that corresponds with the startup (i.e. a warning or error)?

Logs and the Event View? I've briefly looked through those and found my time wasted many times more than the problem.

Is your hard drive/SSD running hard? Was it this way since you installed/upgraded? I notices when I did an upgrade for my mother that it did spend a lot of time running the drive, updating the new apps such as Music and Pictures. A lot of other people reported that Windows 10 does get faster over time, which makes sense in this scenario.

One other thing I can think of is Windows updating your drivers. If this started after a Windows Update run, I could see your issue related to this.
