For the price it's basically a jump drive with built in mp3 player and accessory package, totally worth every penny

I used to have the ipod video, way to big and bulky so I sold it. I now have the new tiny shuffle and it is awesome. So tiny and light.

Get a nano if you want a decent small one or get any random mp3 player if you need a solid state one... ipod shuffle is a POS pushed by apple's marketing dept.

If you're looking for a tiny mp3 player with no features, any no-name player will do... for cheaper than apples shuffle. It's pretty sad that they make something that's so lame that they need to market it's only feature as "life is random".

Humm, can't seem to find the 512mb IPOD only dthe 1gb - does that mean they are out?

Although I agree that non-apple is the way to go for me, my kids who have the more expensive IPOD and all their music is saved in Itunes - an apple shuffle for activities such as skateboarding, etc that would risk damaging the the video ones is more practical. Plus its in the price range that they can pay for them selves and not have to wait for Xmass :)

Yah, the 512mb are sold out...for now. They will most likely come back in stock soon. I bought a couple of these for Christmas presents, they're great :)

I like the shuffle, I can play songs in order or shuffle, there is a back and forward button, works great for me. It was only $69 brand new and it is so tiny I just clip it on my shirt.

I looked online for mp3 players cheaper than the shuffle, they all seem to be larger and use a regular battery which not only makes them much larger but having to replace batteries sucks compared to just hooking it up via USB to charge.

I agree, I got the new clip-on Shuffle for Christmas and it's great...iTunes is really easy to use, it has a nice shuffle mode or straight-play mode, and it clips onto my shirt for working out. I really haven't found anything comparable yet. Plus the price is great :)
