For those who bought a Samsung 955DF Monitor between the dates of 1/1/02 ~ 3/31/02 there is a $30 MFR MIR available!

I have the pdf file if someone could host it I'll email to them.

onelove that's exactly why I posted this. I know quite a few of us got in on the monitor deal. Just found the $30 rebate yesterday requested it from an online merchant. They sent me the pdf file. Sorry no direct link to it. 🙁
 
Awhile back they had this rebate, and someone bought one of these from Gateway and said his rebate got rejected. Well, I was hoping it was just his crappy luck. I bought mine from Gateway too and sent in for the rebate. Sure enough, mine got rejected too. WTF?!?!
 
This must be the best kept secret-rebate in history. But, strangly, it is not on any of the usual "coupon" sites and is not on any Samsung company site. Have you gotten your rebate money back on it and verified that it is a legit offer? Just trying to be a good shopper, not critical of your post in any way; in fact, I very much appreciate your bringing this to the Forum.
 
Deskstar the ph # on the form is 1-800-390-2344 for questions about the rebate. I'm trying to get through to verify if Gateway is a participating retailer.

The form says "Valid at Participating Retailers". Samsung offer #5884
 
I'd be amazed if every Anandtecher reading the various Gateway threads missed out on a legit rebate on this monitor. I know that I did some websearches for Samsung rebates and didn't find anything.

Hope I'm wrong... 😉
 
From the coupon itself:

"(Not valid for etailers, catalogers, or resellers.)" Gateway Dot Com most certainly is an "etailer". This would be great if it worked, but I wouldn't count on it. And, of course, someone will add "But if that's the case, why is Outpost.com offering it"? Well, I don't have an answer for that, unless Samsung has specific relationships with certain stores (which probably means they jack up their price to compensate), and anything not on that list probably gets bumped. Western Digital seems to have that kind of thing going on, although their rebates are much more specific to the place of purchase.
 
fyi, not 100% relevant to this, but a $30 rebate (in one form or anther) has been available at bestbuy.com for at least a month, and four two different weeks of the last month (most recently just ended saturday) the rebate has been $50 instead of $30. the address is a similar neew rochelle NY address to the one on this rebate. In other words, there probably is/was a $50 floating around for anyone who bought last week (my guess)

As far as I know, Samsung put that "Not valid for etailers" qualifier in on these new-for-this-year rebate forms. That definitely wasn't on the forms from last year (the sweet-a$$ Dell deal, which I just got my check for 🙂). That's one reason I didn't buy a 753df this year. Until they come out with a different rebate, I'm holding off.
 
I finally did get to talk to someone @ the rebate center today. They said the rebate was good @ "Gateway" but then he hesitated and asked if the form was found @ thier site which it was not. He seemed pretty sure there should be a form @ the site (don't look, I aready did, not there).

Anyway I think this is a dice throw @ best but I've got a Rebate Form, a 955DF with UPC intact and a packing slip that falls in the time frame so it's worth a try. 🙂
 
I bought one from BB and already sent out the $50 rebate. This form states the original bar code and copy not accepted, maybe worth a try? Anyone did that before?
