30 Monitors

What are some good 30" monitors available for general lab usage. It needs to be purchasable from a reputable dealer (e.g., amazon and newegg OK, ebay is not) and in stock. Looking for sub 1.5k USD price range.

If you're not in need of serious calibration controls, the monoprice models are cheaper versions of the Dell u3011. I had one of the Crystalpro models for about a week. It was actually a decently good monitor, I just couldn't deal with using wide-gamut. That plus there is no way to turn down the backlight, which was really only an issue because I often have the lights off. The uniformity wasn't perfect either, but I could live with it, and I'm pretty picky about that kind of stuff. One model has hdmi/dvi/DP/component, and runs about 800, and the other is DVI only and is 700.

edit:^^ that U3014 for 1100 is actually a pretty good deal.

If it's a decent number talk to Dell directly. They're good on discounts. The U3014 is solid.
