The product normally sells for $137.95 and there is a rebate of 30 dollars from Quantum which would bring it down to $107.95 but if you add something to it to make it 150 dollars you could use the $30 dollar off of $150 and come out in the $90 dollar price range. I am new to this so please bear with me because I have been having troubles finding these coupons but I know they are out there the ones for buy.com I am speaking of.

Dont be to harsh on me if I am wrong ;)

I got one of these drives about 3 months ago. Sent off for the rebate just as soon as I got the drive and I still haven't received a rebate yet, so just be forewarned you will not receive your rebate any time soon.

Also, the Quantum drives are probably the loudest out of the major manufacturers. My whole case vibrates with this drive in it. It didn't at first but it does now.

Called buy.com they will not let you use the coupon unless you received the coupon on a post card and are a business customer.

I didnt question further.

try finding some rubber grommets. enlarge the holes a little, put in the grommets, and screw it in. should dampen vibration for ya

Quantum is the slowest there are when it comes to rebates, they still owe me from 3 months ago, I called, they have me on their list, they just haven't got to me yet.
