30 Days In The Hole

30 days till my last physical day at work. Been there over 30.5 years.

I'll use use 1.5 months of a combination vacation, furlough, holiday leave and holiday credit.

And on 12/30/20, be officially retired with no plans to work ever again.

Congrats! You'll probably be better at retirement than me. To be honest, I'm bit bored with retirement atm. But I think that's because I can't travel right now.

I will probably never fully retire. Divorce in the late 90's, second marriage and mid-50's now with 2 kids in HS.
I don't work full time and haven't in years, although it's not been an "official" status.
Should be able to keep this up for years. Just can't "stop" at this point and won't be able to.

Going to buy myself a 357 revolver as a gift. But I may wait till I move to Ohio (Spring) so I don't have to buy it here in California.

Tried to buy my wife a laptop, her current is 10 years old but I've added SSDs and RAM. But she don't want one, she wants me to buy a NAS instead so she can back her laptop up.
