30,000 Gay Men 'Invading' Palm Springs this Easter Weekend - White Party No. 15

It's all over the local news. and the city of ~40,000 is expecting 30,000 gay men for Palm Springs biggest event (bigger than any golf tourney).
Ron Oden, PS mayor (the nation's 1st openly gay and African-American mayor) even renamed a PS park "White Party" park today. :Q

These guys spend BIG BUCKS - it's ~$300 for the "cheapie" event weekend passes.

I guess the topic's title has to be read together with the first post. It's just that Palm Springs has one of the highest concentrations of gay people in ANY city - 20-30% of the population. However, it is UNREAL when a city's population NEARly DOUBLES just for a single event . . . and a gay one at that.


It's sponsored by Jefery Sanker (this has to be ONE of the MOST annoying Flash sites - EVAR)It is considered the 'crown jewel' of the gay party circuit . . . i guess if you can get 30,000 people to each spend thousands of dollars, it is a success (the $300 pass is the cheapie, then there's travel and hotels and food - everything gets extra expensive here this time of year).
