I had closed the night before as a manager at BK, probably didnt get home til 2 or 3, heard the TV blaring news (housemates had it on before going to class) all morning long. Finally got up around 12:30 and came down to CNN. Obviously, at that point the replays were all going and it was just kinda incredible disbelief. Caled a friend of mine, whose uncle worked at the towers, but luckily that day he had been running late to work, he finally managed to call and let some of his family know he was ok.

Seperately, just watched the slideshow, and concurrently had the pregame ceremonies for ND vs Michigan....had tears in my eyes.

I pray for all those who lost their lives or lost loved ones that day.

It still boggles the mind......I guess words still can't describe the shock at the pure horror of it, while the amazement at the courage of those who went into burning buildings to save others.....wow. Speechless.

Bah. I imagine most of you already know what I'm trying to express, so I'll shut up now.

I actually remember waking up that morning and reading the long thread that was on this board in ot, it was the first I had heard of it, before I went off to box with my friend. I think that thread got immensely long. I'll see if I can find a link to it.

WOAH you can't call this huy a NEF 15 posts in 4 years is that a record?

Anyway I was asleep when the planes hit and when my wife woke me first thing I told her was "this means we're going to war".

I remember it well...I was in a restaurant/bar with a T.V and I could not believe what I was seeing. The place was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. I don't think we will ever see anything that horrific in ou lifetime. It gave me pride how America and her allies gave us support in our time of need.

I was getting ready to go to work...WOW....that day really affected me. I was outside of Chicago that morning. Ever since then I made sure I enjoy my life and be happy.

6 months after the attacks I went to Ground Zero. I had to. I had to see the whole myself. To this day I can't believe the things I saw. I can close my eyes and still see all the missing people posters. Every time I walk buy a missing pet or kid poster it takes me right back to ground zero. I hope that with all thats going on today we all take a moment and be thankful that we are alive and that we HAVE A CHOICE with what we do. Live life to the fullest...Be happy.

Here are some pictures I took, I haven't looked at them since 2002 so its amazing to see again.

Ground Zero

I was working nights at the time and had gotten home a few hours prior. I was playing EverQuest and people were talking about it, so I turned on the tv and saw the second plane hit a few minutes later. I was just sort of numb, it didn't really hit me until much later. Not 6 months ago I had a dream about it, so it's still affecting me on some level. I'll never forget the images of people cheering in the streets of Pakistan. Not just a few fanatics, but everyone, women & children included.

regarding kids cheering in pakistan, from what i have read, they were kids in the palestine region and secondly it is believed it was an old clip, not something they did after hearing about the 9/11 disaster

woke up in the morning, saw it on tv all over. went to go eat with my friend at the mall around 1PM. talked about w/him for short while, then continued as if it was business as usual
