I tried to install 3 pieces of 512MB memory modules on ASUS P4B533-E Main board, but it turned out. Why?

In order to install 3 pieces of memory modules on ASUS P4B533-E Main board, please make sure that the DIMM modules used on DIMM slot 2 and DIMM slot 3 are both single-sided modules. The reason is simply because DIMM slot 2 & 3 are sharing the same row.

try some simple stuff...like memtest to see if the memory is good..i recently got a bad stick brand new, so anything is possible. if you are getting memory errors, then test each individually to see what the bad stick is.

then try different slots w/each of the memory sticks if all the memory is good. I would try putting the 512 in the first slot then the others in 2 and three. dont know if that helps, but is worth a shot.

That might be the fix if it was a memory bank problem. But, USUALLY, the symptom would be that the system wouldn't recognize all the added memory. But it would still boot.
