3 Nintendo 64 Zelda games?

Ok, so a co-worker was claiming that there are 3 Zelda games on the Nintentdo 64, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and Zelda 64.

He also claimed to have played it, I think saying he had rented it (meaning that it would have come out in the retail outlet, where I'm almost 100% certain there were only 2).

I did a quick Google and searched on Gamespot, and so far nothing is showing up. All Zelda 64 references I'm finding are to OoT.

I think he's wrong, so I thought I'd tap ATOTs vast wisdom of the obscure and see if he's in fact correct.

I normally would've just brushed this off, but they were doing that "I know what I'm talking about, I'm right, trust me I know everything there is to know" spiel which irritates me because most of the time the person is in fact full of crap.

Two Zelda games. Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask.

I think there was supposed to be another one for that Nintendo 64DD disk thing in japan but it never came out.

Ocarina of Time Master's Quest was released in Japan only on the 64DD. It was later bundled with the original OOT on the Gamecube Zelda bonus disc.

correct theres only 2 zelda games for the n64. OoT and Majora's mask

the only other likelyhood is zelda 64😀d but it was never released to my knowledge. the N64DD died coming out the gate anyhow so it wasn't really released the masses in the US.

ah..thats right. Forgot about the Master's Quest in the bonus disk. Never tried it so I dont know whats been added.

oh.. not the place for it but... Ocarina of Time > Wind Waker! 😉

Yes, my Google skills suck.

He knows about Master Quest, so I know he's not referring to that.

64DD games don't count either, as he says it was on the normal N64.

Sorry, not being critical of the responses, just trying to be more specific.

OoT freakin' rocks. Gonna have to get my N64 back off of my g/f's brother and fire that game up again.

The Zelda for gamecube looked awesome when they first started it before they decided to make it cell shaded. Anyone got pics?

the new one coming out looks even better. i hope they really show it off at e3. im gonna get another cube (my 3rd one) when RE:4 comes out.

Both mobygames and gamefaqs show only two for N64. This confirms my suspicion that your coworker may be partial to the crack pipe.

Yeah, the new one looks pretty awesome.

Although I totally hated the look of Wind Waker when I saw the initial previews and things, after playing it, the style does fit quite well and it is actually pretty cool.

I like the more mature theme of the new game though. It'd be pretty awesome if for the next Ninentdo system they do another remake of OoT and have it so that when you're a kid things look more like Wind Waker (bright cheerful and all that) but when you become an adult it takes on a darker visual style. Not really that big of a deal, but would be sorta cool. Maybe make an all new game instead of just a remake, but re-incorporate the ocarina of time.

Oh, and on the original topic, I was almost dead certain he didn't know what he was talking about before I even posted, but thought I'd see just in case. I told him to show me proof and I'd believe him but he just mumbled something about he doesn't have to.
