3 month old hamburger buns.

Started to defrost my hamburgers and went in search for buns. Found a pack of buns that was sitting at the bottom of the fridge dated from July of this year. They were opened once before, i took one out inspected it, opened it, and found no evidence of mold. Smelled it and it smells fine.

However it is 3 months past the expiration...

Is it ok to eat? What do you think?

They are enriched white buns btws, not whole wheat. All my whole wheat bread goes bad in literally 1 week, not sure if its the manufacturing process or what...

They are fine. Refridgeration slows down the aging process, so the exp. date matters less.

I don't trust food that doesn't spoil.

Eat them. The worst that can happen is they'll be all dry and crumbly.

QFT, I eat old buns all the time and they do taste a little stale, but I've never gotten sick off of them.

Same here. You'll be fine. Heat it up or toast it a bit and you'll be golden.

I leave my pizza out overnight and eat it for dinner the next day.

take a small nibble before you toast the buns, if they make you want to gag, toss them. nothing like your sense of taste and smell to save you from food poisoning.

That which does not kill you makes you stronger.

There can be only one.

No idea, but if you're taking advice from Off-Topic then sure why not?

They're fine.

*Disclaimer: I take no responsibility for any sicknesses or resulting death induced by the ingestion or consumption of said buns.
