3 monitors w/2 video cards?

I have a sempron 2500, 512megs ram, WinXP.

i have an old matrox g400 (16megs) and a gf4 4200. the g400 is dual heads.

does that mean i can do 3 monitors?
 
If both cards have multi monitor support then probably yeah. It should tell you in device manager if one card can't or if there's some conflict between them with respect to that.
 
What are your talking about? All cards have the support for multimonitors, it's a software thing built into windows.
My 1MB trident PCI works for multimonitors.

 
Sometimes they conflict - I couldn't use my Trident Blade 3D card and my Voodoo3 3000 card together for multiple monitor support - it gave me a message stating that in device managers.
