Facepalm. You do see you disagreed with me and then agreed with me and made my point do you not?
CFL's were an American thing but they did not invest in it. Someone from Asia did take the time and invest in it and now they are the largest maker. It quite simple yet you seem to not be able to see even the cold hard truth.
CFL's never last as long as they are advertised. They are a big lie.
Its a shame that the government has prevented job creation in the United States.
It's a shame the forum hasn't prevented sock puppet creation.
With Illegals, taxes, and now outsourcing our oil and gas Energy jobs to China's "green" industry, Obama is screwing us over. A bunch!
We could replace them with Chinamen for 1/10 the cost.

Pssst ...
As LED lamp production ramps over the next few years CFL prices will drop like a stone making incandescent bulbs useless.
Thought yall might want to know ...
(of course, some of you still probably cling to old b&w tube TVs & radios, and are waiting for betamax to make that big comeback)
Actually, don't most wind turbines and solar tech come from Europe?
Oh and congress did NOT phase out production of incandescent bulbs. All the bill did was require a set efficiency. Other bulbs like halogen can also meet those specs.
And light bulb factories were shutting down well before this bill. But hey why let a little thing like facts get in the way.
"Hey co-worker, where do I put the mercury in this thing?"
I need a job with some green.
That's why we need to push high efficiency LED based light bulbs. We currently make the majority of these LEDs. Also, the frequency spectrum can be tweeked to mimic incandescents and just about any lighting sceme you can think of. They are still so damn spendy though so far.
Wonderful, so we're borrowing Chinese money so we can create jobs... in China. That's just wonderful.
Dude, Chinamen is not the preferred nomenclature. Asian-American, please.
