First: Far Cry
Best: Don't know, I rarely have time to game
Future: Crysis

Problem: That DirectX10 will be needed, but that will require Microsoft Vista.

You mean in the long-run? Yeah.

But if you mean for Crysis? No, it will run in XP with DX9.

First: Oregon Trail (it wasn't a new game at the time, though)
Best: Too hard to pick just one. The first months of online multiplayer Quake were just frickin' awesome. Ultima Online was a lot of fun as well in its pioneering days. For single player, I think Half-Life 2.
Future: I have high hopes for Team Fortress II. UT3 will also be a mandatory buy. Nothing else is exciting me at the moment.

I know we were just supposed to pick one game for each category, but I just can't.

first pc-game was pong or tanks (the old two player game that cost a quarter and had baby monochrome graphics)
favorite pc game: hum tough one - half life when it first game out was great but now it seems kind of boring, duke nukem, descent 1, hexan - problem is all these games seemed a bit lame today but they were a lot of fun in their days.
future: hard to say i guess immediate future maybe bioshock - have to play the demo first :)

1st - Either Conan or Montazuma (sp?) Revenge, both on Apple IIC
Best - Hard to say, guess I'll go with Baldur's Gate 1. Only game I put in 12'ish hours straight on it in a single day.
Future - None really at the moment.
