3 Hippies and a Green VW Bus

UPDATE 9/16: (Ok, it's 9/17, but I was too tired last night to update.)
They're on the way home! Bus is running decent, and appears to be quite driveable. They hooked up with me on the way out of town and collected the $350 in donations I've been gathering. I got some pics and video as well.

I'm hoping they make it home ok. I think so...

I should start a donation fund. These next few months are going to be tough.. 🙁 heh

First: Fly cross country.
Second: Buy a 30 year old vehicle site unseen via eBay.
Third: Find out the vehicle is a basket case, with no recourse to the seller.
Fourth: Hang out at a gas station for 3 days with a dazed look in your eyes.
Fifth: Hope someone as cool as bottomend sees you and offers to help.
