3 Displays HELP!!!!

I am want to hook up 3 displays on my SLI 8800GTS rig, in a widescreen format so i can play my games at a very large fov. I know i need some kind of splitter for 1 of the DVI ports on my card, so that 1 display can be stretched between the two monitors. I then plan on using the 3rd monitor on my second DVI port on my card. Is something like the StarTech DVI Video Splitter http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817707056
what i need for this? Would it be an alternative to TH2GI, I really dont want to spend alot of money. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

I cant be certain but I suspect the startech product will simply copy the dvi signal (allowing to displays to get the same output from 1 card) it wont work with what you want (as you want each display to get its own data).

Is there some reason you're opposed to a second video card?

Edit: never mind, I understand the problem now.

The box you want is this one. It will let you hook up three 1280x1024 monitors and see them as one extremely wide display. They may have a cheaper version that only handles two monitors -- but I'm not sure if you can use spanned video modes with uneven monitors (that is, the 'primary' one being twice as wide as the 'secondary').

Other than the Matrox solution, he is going to be out of luck with the solution than he proposed, right? I.E. even if could find a way to just combine two of the displays, he isn't going to be able to run them with the third display in SLI, right?
