3 day work week and nothing to do

why didn't I take vacation for these days? if nothing comes up by the end of the day going to see if I can snake in the next two days as vacation days and enjoy myself a 6 day weekend.

Hahaha I've been off since 2 weeks before Christmas and I'm loving it. This is the time when I'm glad I don't have a mortgage or paying $400/month on a car payment.

The forums seem to be pretty slow too, probably because a lot of people are off. At least traffic is much lighter than normal.

Yeah. It's not like I have absolutely nothing to do, but there just isn't a full day's worth of work to do. Many people here are out too, though I wonder if some of that is due to the travel delays on the east coast.

I seriously have like 90 hrs of vacation time left. I used 40 the 6-10th, already got another 10 since. FUUUUUUUU SO BORED! I literally have no work. I pushed all my stuff back to the devs with bug lists last week. They are finishing it this week and it won't be good for me to do anything with until NEXT week.

Yeah I get Friday and Monday off, so another 4 day weekend after just having a 4 day weekend. If nothing falls on my plate by like 3ish today, I'm going to set the next two days up for vacation and take a half day.

I'm taking the rest of the week off. I thought I'd come in on the short week and maybe get some work done because there would be a skeleton crew and no one to bug me. There's a bunch of assholes tearing everything apart, painting, running cleaning equipment, yakking and moving furniture around...can't even think. Its pointless. I might as well get a brush and start helping them paint.

I'm the guy that usually has to cover for people when they call out sick. They use sick days like Vacation days here and it gets a little agitating.

I have about 160 hours of untaken vacation that won't roll over and I can't cash out.

I work 10+ hours a day, 5+ days a week. Generally 60-70 hours.

I have been preparing for the past 3 weeks just to take tomorrow and Thur off and it's been such a hassle that I almost wish I hadn't even planned a short trip.

My girlfriend had to go back to work today and I had some friends over till ~4am so I went and took her to lunch. I mentioned how I was kinda tired and she gave me a look like she could kill me. I guess she didn't get much sleep... She's been texting me all day about how bored she is @ work.

The lesson learned here would be to schedule a long 2-week vacation next time. Would make it all worth it.

Just make sure you don't get burned out. I used to work my ass off similar to that but I would work a few Saturdays a month too. I started taking breaks and I found I was able to think better and make better decisions because I wasn't so stressed 24/7.

Tell your girlfriend to go to the work bathroom and bust out a power nap on the toilet. It works even better for her since if anyone asks where she was she can just say "lady troubles" and the conversation ends.
