3 Case comparison

Hey guys, so I want to get one of these 3 cases. I know that the Centurion is great, but I want something that can llok nice at LANs and such as well. Yet above all, I need extreme noise reduction, as the case I have now is horrible with it. I do not necessarily need the built in PSUs. I need accessability, and ease of use. I want to be able to open the case easily for one. So tell me, what case could best suit this criterion?

i've used the Coolermaster for several builds. very solid case.

the others looks rather overdone.

Just look at the rear exaust fan grills.... 1 case is built right, 2 arent and as Corporate Thug alluded to, Coolermaster make very solid cases... Centurion best value for the money by far

Actually both the CM and the Aspire have 120mm rear fan mounts.

Kindly include what the links are for along with the link like this CM Centurion 5 . So those of us that already know all there is to know about an item don't have to bother chasing down the links. Personally, this is the last time I'm going to chase down an improperly identified link. I'm not a fan of riced out cases - so I also vote for the CM. The PSUs that come with the others are junk anyway, so why pay for something you'd just end up putting in the closet or selling on eBay anyway (i probaby wouldn't even sell them as I wouldn't want anyone to come crying back to me anyway)?

I've used the Centurian 5 in another build, and is a good solid choice. However, none of your choices are for 'extreme noise reduction.' For one, that means different things to diffent people. Are you looking for "near silent" or "quiet" or just simply "more quiet" than you have now?

Most cases can be made "quieter" by changing fans, PSUs, aftermarket heatsink/fans, drive dampeners/silencers, ect.

If noise is your main criteria, Choose a case that accomondates 2, 120mm Coolings fans. The Centurion has 120mm exhaust and 80mm intake fan.

Look on Newegg some more. Theres a intake and exhaust Centurion thats 120mm.

Centurion 532 I believe has double 120 mm fans.

My friend has the Raidmax Mustang. He tossed out the PSU it came with and used his own. It seems alright, but nothing special. It scratches extremely easily.

The new Ever Case 4502 is nice and has 120mm mounts f/r. Their 4292 series is very similar inside (but the front may need minor modification to take a 120mm fan) and is also sold under the AMS brand (both at Newegg). Several of the AMS models (XG-4292? series) are at an excellent sale price right now if you can deal with the color schemes that are on sale - heck even the colors that are still at regular price are relatively cheap. SPCR says the Evercase design is one of the quietest standard midTowers OOB (tested as part of the ARM kit and several other times that they seem to have deleted). And they can be easily made even quieter. If you decide on one of these, PM me.

And the new Kingwin 523 is a nice case w/ an aluminum front, 120 mounts f/r plus a bit of rice. Nice that they don't stick you with a junk PSU.
