Over the last week I've seen the BSOD three times in Win2K. The first time was when playing CS (I thought this was just hl.exe being gay), the second was while closing MS Word, and the third was when loading IE just now. I've been using Win2K since January and have never had these kinds of problems before.

My hard drive is an IBM 45GB 75GXP, could it be starting to die and causing crashes? All of my drivers are the most recent versions and I'm not overclocking too much. Has this just been a bad week or is there a serious problem? Thanks.

Muerto,

I have the SAME problem with Halflife (hl.exe) not running in Windows 2000 Professional. It crashes, and when I tried to play Quake3 it goes into the game -then it SHUTs the monitor off. It fails to run any game. I may have to reinstall or just make a windowsME partition and play games on it, or just revert back to winME.

At My Best,
William

Thanks for the link KpocAlypse, downloading now.

I can't remember what the error was exactly, it said that it occured on a certain line of code in a certain file blah blah blah. If it happens again I'll take note of it.

I tried running the IBM drive fitness program but I ran into a little problem. Because my HD is on my A7V's ATA100 controller and not the primary one the drive fitness program couldn't find it when it did the bus scan. Do I have to put my hard drive on the primary IDE channel or can I leave it where it is? Thanks.
