3.99 no quantity limit. Get a new domain name, transfter or renewal for only $3.99 with each and every new non-domain product you buy..
so you gotta get something else, but seems like a good deal nonetheless.

if you have nothing else to get, they have the $6.99 deal on now too.

New or renew for $5.99 all of the time at 1&1. I've been using them for a year or so after their 3 year free deal. So far so good - and FREE! That was a really hot deal.

You don't have to buy anything else either.

Nice referral link.

Should I expect a bill from Network Solutions in addition to the bargain price at GoDadday or 1 on 1? I don't see any mention of the actual NS fees anywhere...

You are a few years behind the times 🙂 NS no longer owns all the domain names. That changed hmm, around 2000 I think? Previously NS had domain names for $35 a year I think it was. And horrible crappy service. Some people lost domain names through fraud when using NS, and could never get them back, or had to spend thousands to fight in court. Google sex.com domain name and you'll see a famouse example heh. Its a great example of why monopoly sux, introduce other companies in the mix and you get better customer service and better prices. Anyway verisign has bought out NS now. NS=gone. You shouldn't have any added fees as far as I know. Unless ICANN is charging something extra now.

Nowadays there are 2 main things to watch out for from uber low prices on domains.
A) do they spam you in email in return for cheap prices? I doubt 1&1 does this.
B) who actually owns the domain name? Some of the uber cheap domain name services have policies written so you never actually own the domain name, they own it and you are just kinda "leasing" it I guess would be the term. This is very very bad, because if it was a popular name and you wanted to transfer it to another service, they might refuse or grab it out from underneath you. This is slightly more likely, but still probably not in the case of 1&1. That is something I would want to make 100% sure of though before I purchased one through them.

I just transfered my domain to them and saved 20% for the year. My three new registrations were like 6.95 for multiple years. I read all the agreements. No spam and I am the complete owner of my domains. Their tech support was much better than 1and1.com. I called both multiple times with presale questions. There is a .25 cent ICANN fee that is added with godaddy but worth it IMHO. I had heard from many friends before great things about godaddy's registrar services. Their control panel is fully functional as well. The transfer process went very smooth. I was nervous but it all went great. My godaddy rep even called me back when I emailed him so he could help me. Not sure if that was the norm but I was impressed. He even stayed over 30 minutes on the phone helping me so that I would be ready with the transfer process and would minimize any interuptions. Luckily there were absolutely none. In ebay terms, AAA+++ Highly recommended.

I saved over $36.00 by choosing godaddy as my windows host and by paying for a year at a time. I also now have the convenience of being able to manage all of my domains in one place. To each his own but I know what worked for me.

I also have all my domains through godaddy. I've never wanted to try anyone else even though some other places are sometimes cheaper. As said above, godaddy is no spam and you own your stuff. Its worth a little extra to me to have good service.
