The only problem is when you move into a dark area and look back at a bright area, it doesn't adjust... you have to move back into a specified "zone" for the levels to adjust.

Sorry, that is with HDR? Non-HDR doesn't adjust, right?

Silly me, I thought the second one looked better...

What did you like better about it?
I know some people like to have a nice bright screen where they can see into all the shadows... I don't... not being able to see in shadows is a step towards realism. ;)

I have my monitors for coding pretty dark so the first one was too dark for me.

But I get the point now.

I wish they would allow the intensity to be changed... sometimes it's just too much... maybe a 1.4 patch will do it...

Agreed, HDR gets on my nerves in the indoor levels. Even the smallest light or simply white objects are blinding. Not very realisitc IMO.

They either need to turn down the intensity, or have the intensity level change faster depending on where you're looking, not where you're standing.

It's the way of the gaming future. It's foolish IMO, to buy a card that doesn't support PS3.0

From what I hear, what you're seeing in FC 1.3 is more of a bloom effect than HDR. At least, I don't see much more than a difference in brightness between the two shots, not Higher Dynamic Range. Both the darks and the lights look darker, rather than the darks looking darker and the lights, lighter.
