2x1gb OR 2x1gb AND 2x512mb RAM?

Hello, I was just wondering. I just bought 2x1gb G.Skill RAM and I have my 2x512mb OCZ RAM left over. Should I sell the extra ram, keep it as backups, or put them into my computer? Since all 4 slots would be taken up by RAM, I'm not sure what would happen, if it would run slower with all of it or what. So can anyone give me some advice? I'm updating my computer specs right now.

If your computer supports it, and you are using vista or play memor intensive games, put it all in.

If they all have the same Clock speed then use all in your machine. If not the same speed then Sell the extra ones. Just my opinion.

PC3200 DDR for the 512s, PC6400 DDR2 for the 1gbs.

Are you listing two different types of memory? Specificially DDR and DDR2? If so, they are incompatiable with each other. If its the same type, and you used both, your memory would drop to the lowest speed one which would be the PC3200.

I just looked at your rig:
This is the motherboard you have correct?
DFI Lanparty UT NF4 Ultra-D

If so, that only supports DDR memory, not DDR2.

Actually, I've just updated my rig. I have a Biostar T-Force P965. Check my rig again for the right rig.

DDR1 sticks will physically not fit in your motherboard's DIMM slots. Your motherboard will only fit, and run, DDR2-533 and above.
