I just saw on CNN that a 2nd school collapsed in Haiti today... they didn't report any casualties yet.

WTH??? Are there no structural engineers there? Is this that much of a 3rd world country?

Your not familiar with Haiti are you? It is one of the poorest nations on the planet. It doesn't get more third world than Haiti. There were probably tons of payoffs made during construction to cut corners and save on cost.

Your not familiar with Haiti are you? It is one of the poorest nations on the planet. It doesn't get more third world than Haiti. There were probably tons of payoffs made during construction to cut corners and save on cost.

I dunno, Afghanistan is pretty low on the list too. I've been there. The things that I saw the populace do were not pretty.

Unless you can provide examples where that's happened in the US you don't have a leg to stand on. I'm sure there have been cases where it's happened but comparing the US to a 3rd world country is apples and oranges in this regard.
