2nd PSU for 2nd GPU?

Instead of totally replacing my XFX 650 that I have had about 40 days, could I not put a smaller wattage PSU up top in my HAF 932 for the 2nd 570?

I think you could get away with using dual 570s and the 2500K with your existing power supply as long as you don't jack up the voltages.

You can install a second psu but you can better get one monster psu to power both cards.

If you do it the best thing you could do is to put the gfx and mobo on the same psu because thats going to be more stable

Just out of curiosity, is there any SINGLE GPU that will work a 30" IPS at full game settings?

nope for several games, you need at least 2 GPU

and to the OP, there are several PSU that was being mad exclusively for GPU and their reside in 3,5 bay area. and it was perfectly fine to use separate PSU to power your GPU

So you can afford a 30" IPS and 2 570s but cant bite the $20 loss to sell your PSU on FS/FT and the $30-70 to get a more suitable PSU?

Yep, time to get started buying, trading, selling on the FS/FT forum. With the way you are replacing, buying, etc it will help tremendously to offset the costs by selling your used goods.

if you want to be frugal about it you can also wire your own hotwire into the green pins using a piece of jacketed wire to both green pins. i have done this in the past when testing systems where i didnt have a single adequate spare PSU, since i have a 550 and a 450 spare lying around
