"After two inconclusive results, you have a much higher rate of confirming (mad cow disease)" in the final test. He said the accuracy of Bio-Rad's test was over 95 percent.

and they're still lobbying japan to open up their beef market for imports but refusing to test each cow for mad cow disease like they do in japan.

when will they stop feeding cow parts to cows? baby cow eating momma cow parts.

lower beef exports = a little more widening of the trade deficit
but hey, beef will be cheaper for us right? moooo

Save your ammo and just come pick up the carcasses up here.

I've seen a good half-dozen deer on the side of the roads this week. Going to be bad for the deer this winter, esp. if it gets cold and snows a lot.

They are really overpopulated here....so much so that the various hunting seasons for them have been extended quite a bit. I'm going to do my part and kill a couple.......

Just be sure to your deer suit on when you go out.

Actually they pretty much have stopped feeding animals proteins to cattle.
After CJD in Europe in 97 nobody does that anymore. But there are still some animals that old in the system. Couple more years you won't have any.
Not to mention its naturally occuring to some degree as well so you will never eliminate it.

i'm pretty certain in the US they still feed most cow parts to cows, except spine and brain. or if they don't then they feed cow parts to chickens and pigs who are then fed to cows.

they were still lobbying to be able to feed cow spines to cows until the previous mad cow case last year.

until 1996 they used to feed grinded up dogs and cats from animal shelters to cows, pigs, chickens, who were also fed to cows, pigs, chickens. and horses.

I think (and this will more than likely draw flames) that the whole food industry needs an overhaul. The feedlots contribute to green house gases, suicide seeds, animal cruelity, mad cow, and other various reasons. We were never meant to eat like we do, protien and grain will make you grow up big, but does little to properly nourish your body. From Monsanto to McDonald's the whole food industry needs an overhaul. I do believe that personal responibility does play a factor, but it is getting harder and harder to find free range, organic food at reasonible prices. We eat what we can afford and find, and the selection is getting worse. Start a garden in your backyard, the work is rewarding and your body will thank you.

Oh and one more thing, this is a HEALTH issue, not a partisan one. People on both sides are extremely malnourished, and I don't mean they don't get enough to eat. I mean they don't eat properly.

ANGRY SAMOANS LYRICS

"They Saved Hitler's Cock"

They saved Hitler's cock, They hid it under a rock.
I discovered it, last night. I couldnt even, believe my eyes.

If Hitler's cock could start to talk, it would say: To kill today. If Hitler's cock could choose it's mate, it would

ask, for Mz. Coultier of Amerikkkan hate!

They saved Hitler's cock. They stuck it it in Prescott Bush's(?) sock. They saved Hitler's cock, and now it wants to

talk.

Now it's starting to get hard, i found it in my backyard. Everynight it kills a dog, and now it's gonna get, some white

house fun! Hitler's cock is on the move, and now I'm scared of what it's gunna do!

Thanks to Steeplerot (steeplerot@yahoo.com) for screwing up these lyrics

I'm just praying it didn't come from up here. Our cattlemen and women have had enough crap tossed thier way, we don't need a refresh on this whole issue.

We have CWD here
I shot a mule doe within 50 miles of where CWD is a problem, but the zone I shot her in has never had a case of CWD in 4 yrs of testing. It costs $90 to test a head. I didn't bother testing it , I followed safe handling procedures for the meat and had steaks on the BBQ the other day.
I'm not afraid of CWD because
1 It hasn't been proven to transfer to humans
2 The statistical risk is so small, I'm gonna die many different ways in probablity, before that one.
3 I've far more likely exposed myself to CJD through hotdogs and all that other process crap in the food system already

I'm glad the test was negative , there are more cows than people around here and one sickly beast is enough to halt an entire industry?
