All around, 2k sports games seem to just flat out OWN any EA sports games. The only reason EA still competes is A. they have the name behind them, and B. they do the graphics fairly well.

In terms of overall physics/gameplay though, 2k sports (espn) OWNS EA.

With that said, anyone happen to know how to dunk in NBA 2k7 for 360? I just rented the game and it doesn't come with a manual. No controls list on how to dunk in game either, Im sure its something simple, just the detroit D isn't letting me get close enough to the basket to figure it out :("

Yea, well EA has done a good job at squashing the competition. Doesn't mean they make a better product.

Well of course not, hell the Big Mac and McDonald's is the prime example. That place is horrid yet owns the comp.

Hrmm, Ive managed to do it once while holding the turbo button. Maybe I just gotta get a more clear path to the basket.

Better yet, how do you do crossovers, especially the player specific ones?

C. They own the rights to produce the only NFL game out there which KILLED all of the competition for football games which i still hate EA for

I don't like EA but you should blame NFL for selling out. NFL was the one looking to have an exclusive company.

Wrong. You have to use the shot stick when you're up close to the basket. That is, the 2nd analog joystick. Pressing it up/down/left/right will do a different dunk of varying difficulty. I forget which direction does which but i think down does the power dunk.

To dunk, you need to shoot the ball while running towards the basket with the right trigger held down.

For isomotion moves (taken from http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/xbox360/game/932864.html and modified to comply with 360 controls):

Stutter Move: Tap and release RT.
Hard Drive: Hold RT and push up at a slight angle. Your player will lean forward a little and move a bit faster.
Hard Crossover: Hold RT and move your left analog stick from right to left or left to right, depending on which hand is dribbling the ball.
Hesitation Crossover: Hold RT and LT and do the same as the hard crossover.
In & Out: Do the hesitation crossover, then throw the left analog stick back towards the hand with the ball.
Behind the back: Hold RT and rotate the left stick in a semicircle downwards from the ball hand to the offhand.
Spin: Do the behind the back move except holding LT and RT.
Step Back: Hold R1 and move the left stick away from the player's movement direction.
Half Spin: Do the Step Back move except holding LT and RT.
Stutter Drive: Tap and release RT, then do the drive move tilting your control stick at an angle towards the basket.
Stutter Cross: Tap and release RT, then chain into the crossover move by moving the left stick from the ball hand to the off hand.
Hop Step: Press Y while driving to the hole.
Hop Step Spin: Press RT while doing the hop step move.
Hop Back: Press back while doing the hop step move.

You may actually want to read the guide there for more info on dunks/layups/etc. Just remember that the controls are slightly different (that guide is for PS2)

to dunk, you have to press the agressive modifier when shooting. To do crossovers, you have to press the turbo button and then use the left joystick. keep in mind that i have the ps2 version but i'm guessing the controls are similar.

And for dunks, different directions on the right joystick give you different dunk, up = safe and basic dunk, right = power, left = flashy, down = reverse. and dunks are ability specific, so dont go try and throw down with kyle korver or anything :p although korver throws down hard in streetball mode
