to suggest the obvious - uninstall ie6?? it's a beta, and a beta from microsoft at that so it's bound to be ultra buggy. ie 5.5 is a great browser, so why go for a half-assed version of ie6?

make sure you don't use 5.5 if you have w2k. I have had the most success with 5.0 with the sp's. I am using 6.0 right now but its a build I shouldnt have. I suggest going back to 5.0, do you have sp2 installed?

Actually you should have used the backup utility included with Win 2000 to back up your system state, which includes your Boot files, registry, ini files and WFP files, component services class database and performanc counter config info.
Do this everytim before you install something pthat is potentially harmful. i.e. BETA VERSIONS YUCK!!!

Here,s how you do it:

Click Start--->Programs--->Accesories--->System Tools--->, and select Backup

go to the back up page and put a check in the System State box and then scedule your backup.

Restoring is just as easy click the restore tab select system state in both w=sides of the window and click Start Restore.

This will save you a truck load of trouble.
