2k and Dial Up, (anyone having this problem)

hey all, when i connect to the net, all goes well... but when i disconnect.. it takes almost 5 seconds for it to disconnect...

i press it..

......
....

.....
............

and then it disconnects, which is kinda of annoying and STUPID.. would a nice modem string fix this..

Win2K did that for me as well when I was playing with it. It was annoying, I much prefer the nearly instantaneous disconnects of 98.

Yep, I had the same problem when I used dialup. But it's only 5 seconds ;) W2K's TCP/IP stack is much better than 9x's, so I'd still stick with 2K if I were you.

I had that problem with W2K. I hate W2K as it gave me errors and crashes out the wazoo but it does have better connectivity and thoroughput overall compared to 98 so I'd just suck it up and learn to live with it.

well i HAVE ZERO crashes or problems.. the only thing i have is that Dial Up thing, but hey its not biggie, as overall system performance is much BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
