2gb Compact Flash $76

Don't get too excited. It's a microdrive and it's type II CF, so it may not fit into your digital camera or whatever you use.

From what I've seen over on dpreview, these are notorious for being unreliable. Besides, I've seen them on sale occasionally for $67 at the geeks...

micro drive is a hard drive, flash is solid state

So..what are the differences 😉

Would this still fit in a regular CF slot then?

It needs to be a Type II slot, and some slots (especially on cheap card readers) can't supply enough power to run a microdrive

As long as it's a Type II slot, yes. Keep in mind, if you're going to use this in the camera or PDA it will drain your batteries like crazy.

BTW, Syringer, what are you doing outside of OT forums? 😉

So would this be a good option if I just wanted to use this in my car with my PDA (which is constantly plugged in) to play MP3's off of?
