Please forgive my ignorance


I’m considereing using Signal (desktop messaging app) for (desktop) Gmail’s 2FA.


In other words, instead of Gmail sending a 2FA SMS to my smartphone, I would like desktop Gmail to send a 2FA SMS, or something else, to Signal (desktop messaging app).


Is it possible??
