2900pro benchmarks

Would love to see how it stacks up against 8800gts 320mb and other cards. Want to know how it overclocks and how hot or cold it runs.

Basicaly, since the 2900pro costs less then the 8800gts 320mb, and usually outperforms the 8800gts 320mb, the 2900pro is the card to get right now. Hmz, I doubt it's worth getting rid of my 8800gts 320mb for a 2900pro 512mb though.

I am not entirely convinced, there were too few AA+AF benches on that review for me to conclude that.

I would say the HD 2900 Pro isn't a bad card, but it's probably costing ATI a pretty penny to make.

I would say the 2900pro is just a way of selling off all the r600 cores that could not clock high enough. Looks like Ati is pushing forward with 55nm-based products, so they need to sell off as much left over inventory as possible before the arrival of the newer products.

Yeah, I can agree that it makes more sense to get whatever value out of the R600 inventory they have left, rather then just write it off entirely.

Very wise man right here 🙂
