Don't Need The Net

New Link

Wow, nearly a third don't need the net. That can't be good news to the service providers.
Good, 29% less people won't be in here bitching about stuff. 😉

more bandwidth for the rest of us 😛

I think some people just believe what they hear on TV, and have no clue what's really available or possible on the internet. My grandfather, for instance, was able to find a number of his old shipmates from the USS Walker, and even help one of their sons write a book 🙂

Additionally, this forum proves, no matter which side you support, that being connected doesnt cure ignorance.

In fact, it may even promote it 😀 Seriously - being online makes it a heck of a lot easier to find people who share your views, popular or otherwise.

So what? There are still people who *GASP* don't have TV's. Being plugged-in is a convenience, not a requirement. One can still live a full life -- family, friends, career, the whole works -- without being plugged-in to the electronic propaganda machine.

be it propaganda in electronic form or print or whatever the end result is the same, the difference is with being "connected" you have more options and a better chance of getting a bigger picture.
