$29 case with 350 PSU at newegg (DEAD)

seems nice for a cheap case - would get this for my daughter, if I had the money.... 🙂

Thanks OP

i compared the psu in the pic and the value line rosewill 350w psu ... they dont look similar at all. what is in the newegg pic looks more like the 300w psu.

not to crap but ebuyer.com constanly has cheap cases like this on sale for 19.99 shipped with a POS powersupply.

Nice case, i used 2 of them last week

They are much better than your typical ebuyer 20.00 case
And better than the regular newegg 35.00 shipped powmax cases.

The metal on the interior and the exterior is a gauge or 2 thicker than mose bargin-basement cases.

The motherboard tray is NOT removable, but it is a relatively roomy case.

The front led's are nice and bright.
The metal knockouts in the 5 1/4" bays are screw-mounted
There were no sharp edges inside that my fingers found.
It DOES have front USB 2.0 ports
It DOES NOT have front audio
It is heavier and sturdier than the cheapie powmax and no-name cases i've been getting off Newegg/Ebuyer/Cmi computer lately.

THe front panel is held on with strong plastic tabs, not screws, and none of the tabs broke during shipping or assembly. (nor do they feel like they are going to break anytime soon)

The PSU is a rosewill brand, and seems a bit better constructed than most cheapie PSU's

I have been buying a good bit of the rosewill brand lately because i've been building a lot of PC's and i have been impressed by thier quality at the prices they sell things.

Is it the best case out there? no
Is it miles better than most cases at this price? YES

I bought 3 more today, in addition to the 2 i got last week.

So far i have bought by rosewill:
5 cases
2 17" lcd's
3 52x32x52x16 combo drives
5 sticks of pc2700 ddr 256MB
2 wireless kb/mouse combos

Everything has worked out of the box with no defects
And all were great prices.

Take it for what its worth
But i am impressed with thier price/quality ratio

Notice the Apex case is only $22, but $13 shipping? Definately makes me think this Rosewill is a rebadge and at the price is cheaper and worth it!

The interior layout and exterior details (vent holes on sides, front bezel, rear panel and 2 sizes of fan holes on the back) are exactly the same as the rosewill.

I'm betting that the rosewill is a rebadge of the apex, or at least made by the same factory in China.

$10 is cheap for Newegg ...deal is not deal BTW , $29.50 , $39.50 shipped is a good price if this case is as nice as it seems from the reviews.

Yeah, it definitely appears to be an Apex case. I've actually used that Apex case before. I buy it for budget builds. It has surprising quality for its price point. It was a very sturdy and light case, and the power supply that came with it can handle any sempron/xp/celeron I'd suspect. I've got a 1600+ in a k7s5a running in one just fine right now. The Rosewill PSU is probably a rebadge as well, which means it would actually be an Allied PSU. Allied makes decent budget PSUs, but I wouldn't use them for anything big.
