I got in on the $29 Windows 7 for students deal from DigitalRiver.

They sent me a download link for the download manager and the 2nd time I clicked it I was told I had exceeded my 10 download attempt limit. My first attempt was on my Mac machine and the download manager is a Windows EXE so I had to try again on another machine.

I'm guessing their servers are slammed and something is hosed up. I was wondering if anyone else is having a problem.

Mods, hope this is an ok place to post this.

If there is a thread about this deal, that would be a good place to put this. New threads are for posting deals you have found rather than for any dfficulties you are having with a deal.

Our software company use digital river to host our electronic downloads. Just call their customer service explain the situation and ask to reset the download.

It downloaded TWO (.BOX) Files and the a EXE file. after you execute the EXE file it decompresses it and makes a new folder called expandedSetup and you can install from there BUT what i did is took that expandedSetup file and make a ISO out of the contents and it instantly made me a Windows7 install CD :)

I got one home premium, one professional. I thought i had ordered two 64 bit versions but only the professional was 64 bit. I can't email them because my edu address was bounced to my current email :(

Your key should be interchangeable between the 32 and 64 bit versions. Download the 64 bit HP disc from *somewhere else* and use your key with that.

How exactly did you create an ISO?

I bet Image burn would do this, as long as you put the files in the root directory of your burn.
