You guys are sick for scheming to exploit a well respected, publically traded company,.... oh wait, let me consider:

who should be allowed to charge millions of beta testers a large premium to have the privilige to test the software? Hmm, I dpn't think so...

I may be banned before I have the opportunity to sell my i7-920 that's been idling for 2 years. What the heck, it's worth it to vent for 25+ years of m***s*** experience
 
just download the technet version and install without key then change product key and activate. simple. google is your friend.

How many times do they let you get this deal? Once per academic year?

What if a new version of Windows comes out? In other words, will they reset everyone's single-use when Windows 8 is released and available for this deal?

Technically its 2 per email...you can buy both the 32 and 64 bit versions. Also worth noting... that a 32 bit CD Key can activate a 64 bit install.
 
I didn't know about the 32->64 and that it counted as a separate purchase thing. I snagged the 32 bit copy and will probably use it to upgrade my wife's PC at some point. Hopefully it will work on the 64 bit versus because I don't see much point in 32-bit these days.

I got mine. Dang, I wish I'd known about this earlier. Over the past 2 years I've bought two of the $100 OEM copies of Win 7 Home Premium, and this is the upgraded pro version.
 
I was able to get the rid of almost all of the extra "data" that was installed from the upgrade. I googled around for it and can't remember, but I think the disk clean up wizard has a system files option that found most of it and maybe I cleared out the temp folders?
 
It seems that they only allow one purchase now. At first I tried to order with both versions in my cart but it forced me to choose only one. So after I ordered the 64-bit I went back and tried to get a 32-bit but it said I had already ordered the limit.

It's unfortunate since I could have really used that second copy.
 
I need a copy. my daughter wants a computer built and tired of her getting on mine for school.

but i don't think her ID will work (3rd grade)
 
i just managed to get a second copy. Bought the first from the digital river site a coupl emonths ago. this time I went through the microsoft/student site (which says 1 key every 12 months) and got another. for those that have done the MS site before, try the digital river one.
